“It Beats Me Every Time” by Peter Bjorn and John, from the album Falling Out
I always neglect to play this album whenever I’m on a PB+J kick. I don’t like it as much as some of the others, but it has its fun moments.
Who doesn’t dwell on things she can’t change. Doesn’t want to leap out of her window from time to time. Doesn’t burn people and things by carelessness. Doesn’t have more enemies than she has friends.
Oh, and I’d like to be able to gracefully accept a compliment, while I’m wishing for stuff.
“Banshee Beat” by Animal Collective, from the album Feels
“You forgot about the things he could say like
I don’t think I like you any more;
I found new feelings at the feelings store.
And I can’t find you at our kissing place
and I’m scared of those new pair of eyes you have.”
“Summertime Clothes” by Animal Collective, from the album Merriweather Post Pavillion
“And we’ll breathe the dawn in its morning blues
With purple yawns, you’ll be sleeping soon.
And I want to walk around with you.
And I want to walk around with you.”
“O Valencia!” by The Decemberists, from the album The Crane Wife
“Up Against The Wall” by Peter Bjorn and John, from the album Writer’s Block
I can never decide if I like this album, or Living Thing the best, but this song is definitely a point for Writer’s Block.
“She’s a Rejector” by of Montreal, from the album Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer?
Sorry to post another song off of the same album so soon. I’m on a big of Montreal kick - especially this album - which hasn’t happened in over a year. I’m glad to have rediscovered it.
